Why do I have to verify my order?

We carefully evaluate all new orders to ensure that a legitimate purchase has been made. There are a number of factors which are used in determining whether or not an order needs to be verified.

Order verification is a routine procedure we use to help us in our ongoing fight against fraudulent account signups (which many hosts receive daily).

If your order is deemed to require additional verification and you successfully verify your order, you will not be asked again on future orders.

How do I verify my order?

1.) Scan or fax a copy of photo identification (this can be a driver's license, passport, etc.) and then send it to GeekStorage. You can e-mail the documentation to [email protected] or submit it using the support desk.

2.) If paying by credit card: Scan or fax a copy of your credit card (you can black out everything but the last four digits of the card number, expiration date and cardholder). You can e-mail the documentation to [email protected]. Please do NOT send your entire credit card details via e-mail. If you are going to scan and e-mail your credit card, please be sure to follow the black out guidelines above.

3.) If paying by PayPal: Send us an e-mail using the e-mail account associated with your PayPal account to [email protected] with subject: "PayPal Order Verification". If the e-mail you used to sign up for our services was this PayPal e-mail address, you do not need to perform this step.

We ask that you complete order verification within 48 hours. Orders that aren't verified after that time frame are automatically canceled. If you need an extension past 48 hours, we would be glad to assist you. Please e-mail us at [email protected] and we'll get back to you right away.

I thought I already paid when I submitted my order?

When an order requires verification, no payment process attempt will be made on the initial signup. Payment will only be processed after the order is verified by our billing team.
