DMCA Copyright Infringement Notice

Author: Geek Support Reference Number: AA-00508 Created: 10/14/2015 06:34 PM Last Updated: 10/15/2015 01:27 PM

In compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of 1998, GeekStorage requires that all notices of alleged copyright infringement, by our subscribers, be directed to our Designated Agent, in compliance with §512 of the DMCA.

Before we will act on your request, we must be in receipt of a properly submitted and valid DMCA notice. The notice must include the following requirements:

  • be signed by the claimed copyright owner or an agent;
  • identify the work or works allegedly infringed;
  • provide adequate information on where the infringing material is located;
  • provide contact information for the complaining party;
  • contain a statement that you have a “good faith belief” that our subscriber is not authorized to use the material; and
  • state under penalty of perjury that statements in the notice are accurate, and that you are authorized to bring the complaint.

The notice should be sent to our Designated Agent at [email protected]

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA copyright infringement notice, we will notify our subscriber and suspend access to the alleged infringing content. Our subscriber will have an opportunity to file a counter-DMCA copyright infringement notice. In the event that our subscriber files a valid counter-DMCA copyright infringement notice, you will have ten (10) days to notify GeekStorage's Registered Agent that you have initiated suit against our subscriber for copyright infringement. A failure to file suit in this timeframe will result in access to the alleged infringing content being restored.
